Bruce Calvin Smeal, 66, of 616 Williams street, died at the Clearfield Hospital Sunday, Oct. 12, at 1:30 p. m. He had been suffering from a heart ailment for the past year but his condition did not become serious un-till Sunday morning. Surviving him are his widow, the for5447mer Mary Irene Mays; one daughter, Mrs. Catherine Smeal Rich, Ridgway; one son, Rev, Maurice M. Smeal, Scalp Level; and a brother Ira, and a sister, Mrs. William McCormick, both of Clearfield. Mr. Smeal was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church and the I. 0. O, F. Funeral services will be held from the St. John's Lutheran Church, Wednesday afternoon, October 15, at 2 o'clock, with the Rev. E, Roy Hauser, D. D. officiating. Interment will be made in the Hi11crest Cemetery. Friends may call at his late home until noon Wednesday when the body will be removed to the church to lie in state until the time of the funeral.
