Misc. Notes
Although Albert was born in Clearfield County, he was baptized in Del Rio, TX on April, 28, 1929, and grew up in Del Rio. His mother was from there. She died at a young age when Albert was young himself. Albert was the youngest of 4, he had 3 sisters.

After his mother died, Albert’s father gave his sisters to other families in Del Rio, and kept Albert. Albert’s father was a hard, abusive man so my Albert left him when he was old enough and was estranged from his father for the rest of his life and did not talk about him.

Albert was a World War Two vet, and was awarded five Bronze Stars, like many of his generation, he did not talk about any of this.

After the war, Albert worked for the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture, in Mexico, for the eradication of Hoof and Mouth Disease in cattle. Since he had been a "Cowboy" on a ranch in Del Rio, he had the experience, although he probably hadn’t completed elementary school.  He met his wife in Mexico City. Two more incompatible and ill suited for each other couple you could [not] find.

His daughter Mary Jo learned about the family history after Albert died.  She was astonished at the amount of info!  After not knowing anything, she suddenly had everything!
