W.S. THOMPSON WINS DETROIT FACTORY PRIZE
Walter S. Thompson, son of Stacy C. Thompson and who was born, raised and worked here at the Manistee Iron Works for some time, recently won a $15 prize for suggesting an improvement in the method of manufacture in his department at the Morgan & Wright plant, Detroit.
Mr. Thompson has been employed at the Morgan & Wright plant for some time as efficiency man, having as his work the task of improving methods of production and eliminating waste. The firm awards 10 prizes monthly for the best suggestions made along this line, and Mr. Thompson won one of the prizes in January.
The former Manisteean and his family live at 1086 Sheridan avenue, Detroit.
