Notes from a souce on the message boards on the internet indicated that papers filed in 1863 at the Butler Co courthouse at the time of the death of William Ruby, Sr., listed the following heirs: Rachel Neely; Patience Neely; Charity Lytle; Thomas Ruby; William Ruby, Jr.; Moses Ruby; Charlotte Rogner. Upon reviewing the records on October 30, 2002, that will could not be found. A clerk at the court stated that there were some records that were microfilmed twice and continue to show up missing and the originals are also missing. Unknown if that is grouping of records includes the will of William Ruby, Sr. Some information was found at the library, but did not include the same names as noted by the internet source.

Individual found buried at Grace Bible Church Cemetery:
Ruby, William (no birth date) d. 27 Jun 1871 at age 69, 3 month, 10 days
Ruby, Margaret (no birth date) d. 28 Jan 1892, wife of William
If calculated correctly based on his burial information, then William Ruby's birth date would have
been March 17, 1802.

Individual found through Scott and Kris Taggart, descendants of Mary Margaret (Ruby) Taggart with whom Margaret Ruby (b. about 1804-Maryland) lived as a widow. Mary Margaret (Ruby) Taggart was the executor of Margaret Ruby's will. Scott and Kris Taggart are in possession of William & Margaret Ruby's family bible, which states, contrary to the 1850 Census, that Emily H. Ruby and Robert Ruby were NOT twins. For children it lists: Henrietta, born 1 Aug 1828; William H., b. 2 Nov 1829; George W., b. 20 Sept 1831; Julian, b. 3 Oct 1833; Sarah, b. 11 Mar 1835; Mary Margaret, b. 31 Aug 1839; Robert, b. 17 Jan 1843; and Charity, b. 3 May 1845. Then listed: Emely H. Ruby, b. 1 Mar 1843, "our granddaughter that we raised." The parents of Emely H. Ruby are not identified. Also listed in the bible are: Charity E. Johnson 1 Feb 1860 and Melviona Ann Johnson 9 Dec 1862 - children of Mary Margaret, and Charles Joseph Taggart, b. 1881, child of Mary Margaret. (It appears that Mary Margaret Ruby married at least three times, first to a Johnson, then James Taggart, then a Cable. She was buried at Mt. Nebo, Cemetery in Whitestown, PA beside Charles Taggart.)
