Lou had a disability. She had a child taken from her at birth. She’d thought for many years it was a girl and later, just a few months following Lou’s death, the child tried to find their mother Lou. It turned out it was in-fact a boy. Lou died, not knowing her child was in reality a boy. For all her life she’d thought she’d had a baby girl. Lou told Karen (Curry) Bond she’d had a baby girl but she was taken away from her shortly after being born. She said she wasn’t allowed to hold the baby as she was told she wouldn’t want to give it up.51,53
