Cornelia's mother Esther died at age 27 and when Cornelia was only six years old. Her father Edward, who was 34 years old at the time of his wife's death, never remarried and raised all four of his children. 3

For a few years her father made his home with Cornelia and his death occurred at her home in May of 1907. 233
