MINERAL SPRINGS - Edith M. Fernandes, 92, of Mineral Springs, died Sunday, Jan. 23, 1994, at the Clearfield Hospital.
Born Sept. 16, 1901, in Clearfield, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Sarah (Wisor) Green.
She was a homemaker and a member of Spring Valley United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Fernandes is survived by five children: Mrs. Virginia Peters, Mrs. Clarence (Georgine) Turner, Duane A. Fernandes, and Mrs. Norman (Betty) Rowles, all of Mineral Springs, and John Fernandes of Hawk Run, Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, 25 great- grandchildren, 20 great- great- grandchildren, several step- sisters and one step- brother.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Nicholas B. Fernandes, in 1974; and three daughters, Jeannette Turner, Joanne Evans and Catherine Wisor.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at The Bennett and Houser Funeral Home Inc., Clearfield, with the Rev. Edward H. Putt Sr. officiating.
Interment will be in the Bradford Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 12:30 p.m. until the hour of services at 1:30 p.m.
