J. Dorsey Neeper

CURWENSVILLE - Services for J. Dorsey Neeper, 69, of Chestnut Ridge, Curwensville, who died Sunday, Jan. 20, at 10:30 p.m. in Clearfield Hospital, will be held tomorrow at 1l a.m. at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home Inc., Curwensville, with the Rev. Robert Densmore officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 2 p.m. today until the time of services.

Born July 3, 1910, in Pike Township, he was a son of Leonard and Emma Leola (Norris) Neeper. He was married to the former Rhoda Peters, who survives with these children: Blair, Oscar, LeRoy, Doylin, Wayne, Wilber, Mrs. Robert (Eva Mae) DuFour and Mrs. John (Beulah) McDonald, all of Curwensville; Mrs. Joseph (Leota) Johns, Leola, and Mrs. Norman (Marion) Shimmel, Carlisle. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren, three great grandchildren and ore brother, Arthur Neeper of Curwensville. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Allen, in 1958; two brothers, Oscar and Rufus, and one infant sister.

Mr. Neeper retired from North American Refractories, Curwensville, in 1972, after 32 years of service, he had also been owner and operator of the Neeper Holsum Dairy. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Curwensville, and the Sons of Italy, Rescue Hose and Ladder Co. and Loyal Order of Moose, all of Curwensville.
