Obituary

The Progress, Clearfield, Pa., Friday, September 29, 1967

R. Clair Ogden, 55, of 9 Collins Ave. Clearfield, died in the Clearfield Hospital at 7:05 p. m. yesterday, Sept. 28.

He was an employe of Carns Brothers Construction Co., a member of the Clearfield American Legion and VFW and the Military Order of the Cooties.

He was a veteran of World War II.

Born at Clearfield April 2, 1912 a son of the late Robert Lee and Ruby (Bliss) Ogden, he is survived by a daughter, Arlene Ogden, Florida, a step-daughter Mrs. Blair (Althea) Hudson of Clearfield , R.D.; and the following sons, Sgt.m Arnold, stationed at Andrews AFB, Washington, D. C.; Ardell and Edward Lee, Rochester N. Y.; Dean, Harrisburg; and Roy, Clearfield R. D.

The following sisters and brothers survive: Mrs. Dorse(Florence) Lytle and Mrs. Charles (Alma) Schnarrs, Clearfield; Mrs. Mabel Dell Huntingdon; Mrs. Ralph (Libel) Hile, Syracuse, N. Y.; Leslie, Clearfield R. D.; and Albert R., Clearfield.

There are 11 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Bennett Funeral Home with the Rev William Normal officiating. Interment will be in Crown Crest Memorial Park.

Friends may call in the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow; Sunday afternoon and evening and until the hour of services Monday.

Military rites will be conducted at the graveside.6587
