Obituary

The Progress, Clearfield, Pa., Tuesday, July 22, 1952

Mrs. Ruth Edith Cutler, 79, of 132 West 6th avenue died in the Clearfield Hospital Monday at 3:30 p. m. after a long illness. She was a member of the West Side Methodist Church and the P. 0. A. Lodge.

She is survived by her husband, Fred J. Cutler, one son George of Curwensville, one grandson and by her mother, Mrs. Ruby Ogden of Clearfield. Also surviving are these brothers and sisters: Mrs. Elma Schnarrs, Mrs. Florence Lytle, Willard, Leslie, Albert, Clair and Arthur Ogden, Clearfield; Mrs. Ethel Hile, Syracuse, N. Y. and Mrs. Mable Dill, Mapleton Depot.

Funeral services will be held from the residence Thursday at 2 p. m. with Rev. Ralph Hinkleman officiating. Interment will be in the Crown Crest Memorial Park.

Friends may call at the Cutler home at 7 o'clock this evening and until time of services Thursday.

The age of Mrs. Ruth E. Cutler of Clearfield who died Monday was incorrectly given in yesterday's Progress as 79. The correct age is 49.6573

The Progress, Clearfield, Pa., Tuesday, March 6, 1984

Frederick J. Cutler, 85, of 132 W. Sixth Ave., Clear­field, died Sunday, March 4, at 11:25 a.m. at Clearfield Hospital.

Born June 19, 1898, in Clearfield, he was a son of George and Virginia (Schucker) Cutler.

He had been employed by New York Central Railroad and retired from Clearfield Borough after 17 years of service. He at­tended West Side United Methodist Church.

Mr. Cutler was first married to the former Ruth Ogden, who preceded him in death. On June 6, 1954, he married the former Edna (Luse) Alex­ander, who survives with a son, George L. Cutler of Curwensville, and a stepson, Irvin Alexander of North Tonawanda, N.Y.; three grandsons and three great-grandchildren. Also sur­viving are a brother, William G. Cutler of Clear­ field, and four sisters, Helen M. Lingle, Virginia Williams and Ella Erickson, all of Clearfield, and Becky Marshall of Franklin.

In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and four sisters.

Services will be held to­ morrow at 1 p.m. in the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home Inc. with Dr. Raymond D. Fravel officiating. Interment will follow in Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.

Friends may call at the funeral home today from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and until the hour of services tomorrow.6575
