With a broken heart I am sorry to say that my mother Jacquelyn "Jackie" Lewis-Cala, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2015 unexpectedly. She peacefully slipped away in her sleep. This was totally unexpected. I desperately miss her and feel so lost. She was my greatest supporter throughout my life. She was so full of life and loved by all. She will truly be missed.364

I am so very sorry to see this. As a young boy I have so many fond memories of my cousin Jackie. Living just a short distance away from my Aunt Lil's home we would visit there very frequently.

I remember Jackie first as a high school student and then later as a wife and mom with you, your sister and brother. All of you just little kids at the time. Your mom and dad invited me to spend a couple of weeks during the summer there at your house just off the highway in Anne Arundel county. I remember your mother in those days as a wonderful, fun loving person with a big beautiful smile. As a young boy, with more than 40 cousins, it was Jackie I was closest to.

Now, among my biggest regrets is that I didn't reach out to her, as was my intention, and re establish our relationship with one another. It would have been nice just to have spoken to her again. I always thought there would be time. Regrettably I was wrong.

My thoughts, prayers and love to you and the family. Like all of you I am heartbroken.
