Sheridan D. "Sherd" Luzier, 65, of Clearfield, PA died Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at the DuBois Regional Medical Center-West, DuBois, PA.

Born December 8, 1940 in Clearfield, he was the son of Alfred John and Sara J. (Jordan) Luzier.

He was a partner in Reed Brothers Construction Company for 40 years and after that was owner of Luzier Construction Company. He was a member of the Kerr Addition United Methodist Church where he had served as a Sunday School Superintendant and Sunday School Teacher. He was a member of Clearfield Lodge #314 Free and Accepted Masons, the Bee Hollow Hunting Club, the Centre Hill Grange and the Clearfield Chapter of Gideons.

He is survived by his wife Joelene A. (Williams) Luzier whom he married April 28, 1962 at the former Centre Hill United Methodist Church, Morrisdale, PA; three children Duane B. and his wife Kelly, of Clearfield, Elaine R. Ward and her husband Larry, of Glen Richey, Christine A. Caldwell and her husband Chris of Morrisdale, nine grandchildren, Miranda Mullen, Mitchell Mullen, Megan Smith and her husband Kenneth, Jr., Leyna Ward, Amanda Ward, Katie Ward, Lea Ward, Courtney Caldwell and Curtis Caldwell and one great granddaughter. He is also survived by five brothers and three sisters, Ann Luzier of Clearfield, John E. Luzier and his wife Marilyn of Clearfield, Nancy Gingras and her husband Richard of Worster, MA, William R. Luzier and his wife Linda of Newton, KS, Helen Jane Dixon and her husband Elroy, of Morrisdale, PA, Thomas A. Luzier and his wife Colleen of West Decatur, PA, Alfred Dan Luzier of Clearfield and Dennis C. Luzier and his wife Carol of West Decatur.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 3, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at The Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc., Clearfield with Reverend Virginia Eminhizer officiating.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. and on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of services.
Interment will be in the Bradford Cemetery.
