Obituary
Capt. John L. Rex, father of our townsman William Rex died August 4 at his home three miles west of Lake City in his 79 year of his age. He was born in Adams county, Penn. 315He served ikn the Civil War and fought at Antietam, Gettysburg and the Wilderness. He cam to Calhoun county in 1870. A widow and eight children survive him.
