Glenn G. Bloom, 85, 3548 Greenville Pike. Grampian, died Tuesday July 6, 2004 at his home.
Born Oct. 27, 1918, in Bloom Township, he was the son of the late Wilbur H. and Emma Sarah Thomas Bloom.
He served in the US Army as a Staff Sargeant during World War II.
He retired in 1984, following 42 years of service with Merck Sharp and Dome Medical Research Lab, where he worked in pharmaceutical production as a chemical operator.
He served as chairman of YMCA International. He was a past board member of the Greenville Church of the Brethren.
He is survived by one brother, Galen F. Bloom of Grampian; one sister, Mrs. Charles (Lorna Fern) Feveryear of Bel Air, MD.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by one sister, Phyllis Vargo [sic Varga].
