CURWENSVILLE — Funeral services for Mrs. R. Verne Bloom of Franklin, a former resident of Curwensville, will be held from the Lininger Funeral Home at 3 p. m. Friday. Interment will be made in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Obituary

The Progress, Clearfield, Pa., Saturday, February 20, 1954

CURWENSVILLE - R. Verne Bloom, former resident of Curwensville, died at Franklin, Pa., this week.

His wife, the former Margaret Wise of Bloomington, preceded him in death several years ago. Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Catherine McCulley of Franklin.

Funeral services were held from the Barron Chapel, Franklin, this afternoon. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Curwensville, at 2 p. m. tomorrow.

The Progress, Clearfield, Pa., Tuesday, February 23, 1954

Funeral services for Ralph Verne Bloom, 87, 23 Phipps Street, Rocky Grove, who died early Friday morning, were conducted at 2 p. m. Saturday in the Barren Chapel by Rev. D. R. N. Stumpf, pastor of Grace Lutheran Church.

During the services, he read the poem "Crossing The Bar."

Prior to the services, the members of Myrtle Lodge N. 316, F. & A M., called in a body and conducted the Masonic funeral services with Theron H. Davis, worshipful master, in charge. Members of Franklin Lodge No. 83. Loyal Order of Moose called in a body and conducted their memorial services under direction of Harold M. Hoffman, acting governor.

Commital services were conducted in the Curwensville Cemetery by Rev. A. C. Clever, pastor of the Curwensville Presbyterian Church and the following were pallbearers: Robert V. Davidson, John D. Hamer, Robert F. Whitfer, Edward Bonsall, John H. Wright and Frederick B. Smith.
