Hannah Elmira. Aunt Hannah, Mom's oldest full sister, passed away at 97 at the Valley View Nursing Home. Cause of death was generalized arteriosclerosis and senility. Prior to that, she lived at 851 17th Street. I don't really remember her very well. I just vaguely remember seeing her, but I don't know much about her at this point. I remember visiting her at her home was a young child. At the time of Aunt Hannah's death, she was the oldest of five generations.

Aunt Hannah used to rent out rooms in her house on 17th Street. She had a kitchen outback, and she once gave an elderly man a room for tending the fire in the kitchen. That night he stole all of her money. Aunt Thelma followed him and found that he had bought a new truck and a new TV set with her money. Aunt Hannah got the money back that was left after his purchases. Also, they were able to get the money back from the truck and the TV. Uncle Bill said this old fellow used to eat at his restaurant.653
