Obituary

Susan A. Dunn

Former Pleainfield Road resident Susan Aleene Dunn died of breast cancer Feb. 14, 2002 at her home in Glen Burnie.  She was 54.

A 1965 graduate of Patapsco High School, the former Susan Hellier loved singing and was a member of Patapsco's chorus and choir.

After high school she attended Strayer Business College for two years, then began a 30 year career with the Federal government.  Starting out as a keypunch operator with the Social Security Administration, she worked for the U.S. Army at Fort Meade for the past 15 years.

After moving to Glen Burnie 22 years ago, she became a member of St. John's Lutheran church.

Her interests included cooking and collecting carousels.  Years, ago, she played on a traveling duckpin league.

In addition to her husband, William A. Dunn, she is survived by daughters Caroline DeHaven of Odenton and Mae Dunn of Glen Burnie, mother Aleene Hellier of Dundalk, brother William Hellier of Pennsylvania, sister Wendy Hellier Stevens of Jarrettsville and four grandsons.

Services were held Feb. 18 at First Lutheran church of Gray Manor, her childhood church. Interment followed at Holly Hill Memorial Gardens.
