LUMBERMAN DEAD

Byron R. Thompson Succumbs After Brief Illness
Well Known Dealer Fails to Rally After Attack of Peritonitis

Byron R. Thompson, a veteran lumber dealer of this city and president of the Thompson lumber company died of peritonitis at his residence, 230 South College avenue at 6 o'clock last night.

Mr. Thompson has been in the lumber business here for more than twenty years, coming to this city thirty years ago from his birth place, Curwensville, PA. His illness was of but short duration.

He is survived by a widow and one daughter, Miss Eva Thompson and one sister, Mrs. Lily M. Johnson of Allegan. He also leaves four brothers, A.W. Thompson of this city, S.C. Thompson of Manistee, E.G. Thompson, editor of the Ligonier, Ind. Leader, and John A. Thompson, a broker at 35 Wall street, New York.

All the relatives have been summoned and will attend the funeral which will be held at the residence at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. Interment will be in Greenwood cemetery.

Thompson
Mrs. Ida A. Thompson, aged 69, died at 2:30 o'clock this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Eva A. McNamara, 632 1/2 Harrison street, after an illness of two years of a complication of diseases.

She was born in Jackson, Mich., and had lived here for the last 10 years. Mrs. Thompson was a member of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.
Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. McNamara, two sisters, Mrs. A.W. Thompson, and Mrs. William Powell, and one brother, James Egan.

Funeral services will be held at 8:30 o'clock Friday morning at the home, and at 9 o'clock at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Burial in the Catholic cemetery.
