Obituary

PETERSON- Arthur A., 65, of Berwind, W. Va., died at 6 p.m. Dec. 19, 1960, in Berwind.  Born July 26, 1895, in Oshanter, Pa., a son of Frank and Matilda (Anderson) Peterson. 

Survived by widow, the former Hazel W. Patterson; son, Arthur Eugene, Huntington, W. Va.; Theodore and Marvin, both of Curwensville; two sisters- Mrs. Dora P. Wiley, Curwensville and Julia Goss, Collinsville, Va., and two grandchildren.

Member of Berwind Methodist Church, Sunnehanna Lodge 742, F & AM, and American Legion.  Was a veteran of World War I.  District manager for New River and Pocahontas Coal Company stores. 

Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at H.M. Picking Sons Mortuary where service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Rev. Robert Heffer.  Interment, Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Obituary

Mrs. Viola Bloom Peterson, aged 31, wife of Arthur Peterson, died at the home of her father, Hosea Bloom, in Knox Township Friday night, June 10, at 11:45 o'clock, following an attack of pneumonia.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hosea Bloom, one son, Eugene, four brothers and three sisters, namely, Mrs. Zoe Bowman, Barnesboro; Mrs. Twila Carthart, Olant; Mrs. Paul Larson of Canton, Ohio; Floyd Bloom, Harrisburg; Russell Bloom, Olanta, and Hosea and Ronald both of Niagara Falls, N.Y.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at Mt. Zion Church, Rev. Jarrett officiating. Interment in Mt. Zion Cemetery.

TSCHOP - Hazel W., 87, 101 Woodside Ave., died July 28, 1994, at home.  Born May 28, 1907, in South Fork, daughter of Harry and Agnes (Lees) Patterson.  Preceded in death by parents; first husband, Arthur Peterson; second husband, Harry Tschop; infant daughter; stepson, Gene Peterson; sister, Thelma Langer; and brothers, Robert, Charles, Irvin, and Harry.  Survived by stepchildren, Edwin and Kenneth Tschop and Jean (Tschop) Weed, all of Huntington, W.Va.  Also survived by niece, Linda, wife of Dean D. Blue, with whom she resided, and several nieces and nephews.  Memorial service at 3 p.m. Monday at Franklin Street United Methodist Church Chapel, the Rev. Bruce Griffith.  Interment, Forest Lawn Cemetery.  Arrangements by John Henderson Co. Funeral Home.
