Bradford Township was created in 1807 and was originally part of the old township of Chincleclmousche. An enumeration of the taxable inhabitants in 1809 included John Wisor. The population of the township at that time was about 175. By 1839 the part of Bradford Township that the Wisors lived in became Boggs Township. John Wisor Jr. was assessed for 112 acres, $224 and John Wisor Sr., one cow $12. A later assessment showed John Jr. with two cows, as John Sr. had died.
