A Samuel Appleton died in Clearfiled County. The mortality schedule states that he was born in NJ and he was a blacksmith. However, several earlier census' show a Samuel Appleton of his age range in Bucks.

I found many Appletons in Bucks and across the river in NJ.  Now just to sort them out is the problem. Jesse named one of his sons Samuel so the temptation is there to assume. Its why I want to look into it further. I cannot assume anything. We need proof.1929
