Ella Mae Passmore, 74, died May 11, 2004 at Whidbey Island Manor, Oak Harbor. She was born Sept. 13, 1929, in Port Townsend to Waldo and Jennie (Templeton) Passmore.
Ella Mae spent the first 40 years of her life in Port Ludlow. She moved to Richland for a time and then on to Sedro-Woolley. For the past 25 years, she has been a resident of Whidbey Island Manor.
Ella Mae loved watching television, playing Chinese checkers, bead work and stitchery. She also loved to collect Snow White memorabilia. Ella Mae is survived by nieces and nephews: Bob O. Passmore and wife Janet, Mill Creek; Lynn A. Phillips and husband Bill of Crockett, and Pat B. Passmore of Tumwater. Two brothers, Dale "Ike" Hamblen of Ellensburg, Cyrus "Si" Hamblen of Mattawa, and Norene Workman of Richland, and one sister-in-law, Mabel Caldwell of Oak Harbor survive her. She was preceded in death by one brother Robert "Bob" Passmore and one brother-in-law, Charles Caldwell.
No formal funeral services were conducted. Cremation was held with private family inurnment to follow at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Burley Funeral Chapel, Oak Harbor.4179
