Victoria B. “Vicki” Paul, 47, of South Charleston died April 16, 1997, at home after a long illness.

She was a Kanawha County schoolteacher, having taught English and Spanish at South Charleston Junior High School for 14 years, and a 1972 graduate of West Virginia State College, Institute. She was a 29-year resident of South Charleston.

Surviving: husband, Carl; son, Christopher at home; daughter, Cara Paul at home; father and stepmother, Charles and Betty Bowman of Los Lunas, N.M.; mother Ruth W. Bowman.

Memorial service will be 7 p.m. today at Good Shepherd Mortuary, South Charleston, with the Rev. Harold Runyun officiating. The body has been cremated. Friends may call one hour prior to service at the mortuary. The family suggests memorial contributions to Kanawha Hospice, 1143 Dunbar Ave., Dunbar, W.Va. 25064, or to the Victoria Paul Spanish/German Teaching Scholarship Fund, Campus Box 163, West Virginia State College, Institute, W.Va. 25112.4168
