Misc. Notes
Abram was an early settler of Clearfield County where he entered over 1,800 acres of wild land. Here he opened and worked at his trade of wagon making at Curwensville where he erected the first house and shop, both of logs. His children were Miles, Mary, and Daniel; he gave them good farms and reared them in the Society of Friends.
____________
One of the early religious groups [in Curwensville, PA] was the Society of Friends which organized a meeting in 1833. At first they met in the old township schoolhouse on Filbert Street.
Adam Hartsock and Job Way [also in this record] were among the original members. [Are Adam and Abram the same person with one of the sources misspelling his name?]
