The land that this house [Stan and Mary Derricks home] sits on belonged to the William Irvin Estate and in 1868 or early 1869 the Irvins had a small house erected on this site. Alice Irvin later sold the property to Joseph Newcomer who added to the original building. The property then passed through the ownership of several people until Stan and Mary Derrick became the present [2010] owners.3786
