CURWENSVILLE - Mrs. Lydia Kester, 66, widow of Lynn Kester, died in the home of her sister, Mrs. Alex Frankhouser, 578 State St., this morning, Feb. 27, at 7:50 o'clock. Her husband preceded her in death six years ago.
She was born in Brady Township, Oct. 31, 1885, a daughter of the late Ferdinand and Lena Zilliox Shaffer. She was a member of the Curwensville Methodist Church.
Surviving her are one sister, Mrs. Alex Frankhouser; one half-sister, Mrs. Dessie London of Big Run; and two half brothers, Martin Shaffer of Grampian, R.D., Bloom Township, and Lloyd Shaffer of Bridgeport, Curwensville.
Funeral services will be conducted from her late residence on Ridge Avenue Friday, Feb. 29, at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Ezra L. Parks, pastor of the Methodist Church, in charge. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call at the late residence this evening and until time of services on Friday.
