Obituary

Anna Christina Jones, 81, Somerset, died July 17, 2013, at home. Born May 6, 1932, in Conemaugh Township, daughter of Oscar and Amelia (Merrbach) Valentine. Preceded in death by parents, husband Ronald, son Richard "Rick" Jones, sister Marie King, granddaughter Kayla Jones, and great-grandsons Zachary Bowser and Joshua Stegeman. Survived by children: Gaile (Donald) Kennedy, Boswell; Ronald "Buddy" Jones, Jr., Portland, Ore.; Robert (Vonnie) Jones, Annville; Brenda (Jack) Kalp, Acme; and Raymond (Tina) Jones, Somerset.

She was a loving "Nan" and "Grandma" to 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; sister of: Oscar Valentine Jr., Earl Valentine, and Emma Shippey. She was a graduate of Somerset Hospital L.P.N. program and was employed for 22 years at Somerset Hospital. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and her dogs.

Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday. Rev. Gary Anderson officiating. Interment Odd Fellows Cemetery, Stoystown. DeanerFuneralsAndCremations.com.
