The James R. Darnley in your file is not the one who married Lauretta Simpson. This James Darnley I knew personally. He was my uncle (actually cousin but he was raised by my grandmother's parents after his father died in the flu epidemic of 1918).
He was married three times (none of them a Lauretta Simpson) and only had one child by his first wife who died when her daughter was very young.
There are seveal James Darnleys roaming around out there that were born close together. If I can help you figure out which one it might be that married Lauretta I would be glad to help.
