William L. Wise a foremost citizen of Knox township, who, for the past fourteen years has held the responsible office of township treasurer, resides [1911] on his well improved farm of 100 acres, which is situated three miles west of Boardman, Pa.

William with his brothers and sisters, attended the public schools in Ferguson township and afterward assisted his father on the home farm until his own marriage, ever since which time he has lived on his present farm in Knox township, all of which is under cultivation except ten acres in valuable timber.

He is not only one of the successful agriculturists of this section but he is also a very prominent and popular citizen. Since reaching manhood he has been interested in public matters in his township and on the Democratic ticket has been many times elected to ofifice, serving as treasurer, collector and auditor. He is one of the stockholders of the Farmers’ and Traders’ National Bank of Clearfield.
