Misc. Notes
Died on Saturday last [22 April 1848], at Messrs. E. & W. F. Irwins Mills, in Lawrence township, a young man named John Harper. The deceased, according to his own account, was born and raised in Kentucky, near the Tennessee line, and was the only son and brother of a widowed mother and six sisters. Although he suffered and died among strangers, he received every care and attention that friends could have rendered. [Could he be the same John?]
