John immigrated from Germany and could have come with family, but I've never heard of any to date. I found a few Bowmans on immigration records, but have not yet been able to definitely claim one as being him. I'm still waiting to receive his Death Certificate from Pennsylvania, hopefully that will give me his parents names. I don't know their marriage date but am still searching for that.

In regards to the death locations of John George Bowman and Viola Passmore Bowman, they died in Mayville, New York, while they lived with their daughter, Elizabeth. Their obituaries were found in the DuBois Courier. George’s publication date was May 24, 1922; Viola’s was March 23, 1925.
