William was a clothier. When he died, an intestate bond was filed in the court of the Dean of Sarum, a copy of this bond is filed with the Genealogical Society of Pennsylvania, stating that the Passmore name has variant spellings – Passemer, Pesmore, Peasemore, Passemore, Pasmore. Parthmore and Parchmore are traced to the early twelfth century.
