The G.E. plant where Grover worked processed and galvanized conduit pipe and couplings. He worked there prior to being drafted in World War Two and returned after the war retiring in 1977 at the same time the plant was being shut down.

Grover was a Combat Enginner during World War Two serving in seventeendifferent islands of the south Pacific including The Solomans, New Guinea and up to the Philipines. Hed rove dump trucks and Staff Officers cars. He helped build and maintain building that served as Gnerl Douglas McArthur’s headqquarters.

Grover built his own home from the ground up and paid cash for all the cars he owned. He never owed anyone a dime.
