In the archives of [the State of New Jersey] are recorded the names of five Bloom brothers who served in Baxter's Brigade of New Jersey volunteers.
One was killed in action.‡ After the war one remained in New Jersey, the other three coming to Pennsylvania.

The fact that Isaac’s brother William named his first-born son Isaac (b 1770) may lend credence to the possibility that
this Isaac had in-fact at least passed away by that time, naming his son in honor of his dead brother. Whether Isaac was killed in the War or from some other means is not known for certain.
3‡New Jersey has no record of [the brothers war] service, and no information about the one who was killed in action. [See more on this subject in his brother William's notes.]
